This is the GDPR/UK-style Privacy Policy, paired with the English-language Terms of Use. The Turkish version below is a separately-structured KVKK Aydınlatma Metni, not a translation of this page — Turkish law requires its own format.
1 Who We Are
Mergen AI's Services (the mobile app, website, and related services) are operated by Ahmet Çay, an individual developer, trading as "Mergen AI".

This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what rights you have over it.
2 What Data We Collect, and Where It Comes From

We don't currently send marketing communications. If that changes, we'll ask for your separate, opt-in consent first (Section 9).
4 AI and Profiling
Our predictions are generated by a statistical/AI model trained on historical football data — they're the same for every user (not personalized to you individually). Separately, you're grouped into one of three general risk categories based on your onboarding survey answers, which affects which betting slips are suggested to you. This categorization doesn't have a legal or similarly significant effect on you, and you can retake the survey at any time to change it.
5 Who We Share Data With
- Apple (App Store, Sign in with Apple) and Google (Play Store, Google Sign-In, transactional email via Gmail, and Firebase Analytics/Crashlytics/Cloud Messaging).
- RevenueCat — our subscription/purchase infrastructure provider. RevenueCat receives only your Mergen account ID directly from us (it separately learns purchase/subscription data from Apple/Google once you make a purchase).
- Our hosting provider (AWS) — stores and runs the Services' backend and database.
- Law enforcement or regulators, where we're legally required to disclose data.
We don't use any third-party AI or language model provider. Our prediction models are developed and run entirely in-house. We do not sell your personal data.
6 International Data Transfers
Our backend infrastructure is hosted on AWS in the United States (us-east-1). If you're in the UK or EU, this means your data is transferred outside the UK/EEA. Apple, Google (including Firebase), and RevenueCat also process data internationally, including in the United States, as part of providing their services to us.
7 How Long We Keep Your Data
We keep your account and activity data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data, subject to: financial/transaction records we're required to keep for tax and accounting purposes, and data we need to retain briefly for fraud prevention or security.
8 Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your data, and to object to or withdraw consent for certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email info@mergenai.tech. We'll respond within 30 days. UK/EU users can also complain to their local data protection authority (in the UK, the ICO).
9 Consent and Opt-Outs
We currently don't send marketing communications or use non-essential tracking. If we introduce either in the future, we'll ask for your separate, opt-in consent before doing so, and you'll be able to withdraw it at any time from your account settings.
10 Children
The Services are not directed at, and may not be used by, anyone under 18. If we learn we've collected data from someone under 18, we'll delete it.
11 Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections and access controls. No system is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
12 Cookies and Local Storage
Our website does not set any cookies. We don't use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or any other tracking or analytics service on mergenai.tech.
The website stores two small pieces of information in your browser's local storage (not a cookie, and never sent to our servers or any third party):
- A random, anonymous identifier so the blog comments feature can tell which comments are yours on your own device.
- Your language preference (English/Turkish) on these legal pages, so you don't have to re-select it on every visit.
Both are strictly necessary for these features to work and don't require consent under applicable law. You can clear them at any time through your browser's settings; doing so just resets the comment-ownership display and the language toggle to default.
If we ever add analytics, advertising, or any other non-essential tracking to the website, we'll update this section and ask for your consent first, the same way the app does (Section 9).
13 Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified to you in the app before they take effect, with a version date at the top of this document.

4 Yapay Zeka ve Profilleme
Tahminlerimiz, tüm kullanıcılar için aynı olan istatistiksel/yapay zeka modelimiz tarafından üretilir. Ayrı olarak, anketinize göre üç genel risk kategorisinden birine dahil edilirsiniz; bu, size hangi kuponların önerileceğini etkiler ve hukuki bir sonuç doğurmaz. Anketi istediğiniz zaman yeniden doldurarak kategorinizi değiştirebilirsiniz.
5 Kişisel Verilerin Aktarıldığı Alıcı Grupları
- Apple ve Google (Play Store, Google Sign-In, Gmail üzerinden e-posta, Firebase Analytics/Crashlytics/Cloud Messaging).
- RevenueCat — yalnızca Mergen hesap kimliğiniz aktarılır.
- Barındırma sağlayıcımız (AWS).
- Yasal olarak yükümlü olduğumuz hallerde kamu kurum ve kuruluşları.
Herhangi bir üçüncü taraf yapay zeka veya dil modeli sağlayıcısı kullanmıyoruz. Kişisel verilerinizi satmıyoruz.
6 Yurt Dışına Aktarım
Arka uç altyapımız Amerika Birleşik Devletleri'nde (AWS, us-east-1) barındırılmaktadır. Apple, Google (Firebase dahil) ve RevenueCat de verileri uluslararası düzeyde işleyebilir. 6698 sayılı Kanun'un 9. maddesi uyarınca, bu aktarımlar için gerekli yasal mekanizma (standart sözleşme ve Kurul bildirimi) tamamlanma aşamasındadır.
7 Saklama Süresi
Hesabınız aktif olduğu sürece verilerinizi saklarız. Hesabınızı silerseniz, mali/işlem kayıtları ve güvenlik amaçlı kısa süreli saklanan veriler dışında, kişisel verilerinizi sileriz.
8 Haklarınız (KVKK Madde 11)
KVKK'nın 11. maddesi uyarınca, verinizin işlenip işlenmediğini öğrenme, bilgi talep etme, düzeltme/silme isteme ve zararın giderilmesini talep etme haklarına sahipsiniz. Başvurunuzu info@mergenai.tech adresine gönderebilirsiniz; en geç 30 gün içinde yanıtlanır.
9 Güvenlik
Kişisel verilerinizi korumak için makul teknik ve idari tedbirler alıyoruz. Hiçbir sistem tamamen güvenli değildir.
10 Çerezler ve Yerel Depolama
Web sitemiz hiçbir çerez kullanmamaktadır. mergenai.tech üzerinde Google Analytics, reklam pikseli veya başka herhangi bir izleme/analitik hizmeti kullanmıyoruz.
Web sitesi, tarayıcınızın yerel depolama alanında (çerez değildir, sunucularımıza veya üçüncü bir tarafa hiçbir zaman gönderilmez) yalnızca iki küçük bilgi saklar:
- Blog yorumları özelliğinin, kendi cihazınızdaki hangi yorumların size ait olduğunu gösterebilmesi için rastgele, anonim bir kimlik.
- Bu hukuki sayfalardaki dil tercihiniz (İngilizce/Türkçe), her ziyaretinizde yeniden seçmek zorunda kalmamanız için.
Her ikisi de bu özelliklerin çalışması için zorunludur ve yürürlükteki kanun uyarınca açık rıza gerektirmez. Tarayıcı ayarlarınızdan istediğiniz zaman temizleyebilirsiniz; bu yalnızca yorum sahipliği gösterimini ve dil tercihini varsayılana sıfırlar.
Web sitesine ileride analitik, reklam veya başka bir zorunlu olmayan izleme aracı eklersek, bu bölümü güncelleyecek ve uygulamadaki gibi önce açık rızanızı isteyeceğiz (bkz. Açık Rıza Metni).
11 Değişiklikler
Bu metni zaman zaman güncelleyebiliriz. Önemli değişiklikler, yürürlüğe girmeden önce uygulama içinde bildirilir.
